Eradication of Hazardous Child Labor in Bangladesh (4th Phase)

Child labour in Bangladesh is common, with 4.7 million children aged 5 to 14 in the work force. Out of the child laborers engaged in the work force, 83% are employed in rural areas and 17% are employed in urban areas. children in Bangladesh are subjected to the worst forms of child labor, including forced child labor in the production of dried fish and bricks. Children also perform dangerous tasks in garment and leather goods supply chains. To reduce the child labour in Bangladesh, we are implementing this project in Pirganj uapzila under Rangpur District with the support of Ministry of Labour and Employment.
